The Greens invite you to a tour with planning officer Kolmer on June 13th
Under the motto "Urban Green Spaces Mean Quality of Life," the Bessungen district group of the Green Party (Alliance 90/The Greens) on Friday, June 13, 2025.to a themed walk with Planning Director Michael Kolmer The focus will be on the Ludwigshöhe district, one of the most important development areas for sustainable urban planning in Darmstadt.
The walk begins at 2 p.m. at the Musikakademie/Gleisschleife stop and lasts until approximately 5 p.m.The event is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about climate-friendly urban development, the quality of public spaces , and the role of urban green spaces in new neighborhoods .
“Especially in a growing district like the Ludwigshöhviertel, we have the opportunity to create structures from the outset that will have a long-term impact – with well-designed green spaces, livable places to stay and climate-friendly planning,” Kolmer emphasizes in the run-up to the tour.
The aim of the walk is to demonstrate how climate adaptation, urban design , and quality of life can be interconnected – and why green spaces are not a luxury, but a central component of sustainable cities. In addition to expert insights, dialogue with citizens is also a key focus.
