Tunnel ceiling work from October 20th to 21st – Wilhelmin parking garage inaccessible
The city tunnel in Darmstadt will be completely closed to traffic overnight from Tuesday, October 20th, to Wednesday, October 21st, 2026. This is due to work on the tunnel ceiling. The closure will begin at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and last until 5 a.m. on Wednesday.
During this time, the Wilhelmin parking garage will also be inaccessible by car. Drivers should take this into account when planning their journey to Darmstadt city center.
Q-Park and Hügelstraße remain accessible
The entrance and exit to the Q-Park parking garage via Rheinstraße are not affected by the closure. These will remain open during the work.
Passage through Hügelstraße is still possible.
The City Tunnel is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Wednesday morning from 5 a.m. after the work is completed.
