Mobile radio moderation: Night work from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. / Parking garages remain accessible
As part of the modernization of mobile phone supply in the city tunnel, there are nighttime traffic restrictions. From Monday, June 16 to Wednesday, June 18, 2025 , the entrance to the City tunnel from Rheinstrasse closed from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The measure only affects access from Rheinstrasse. The exit from the tunnel and the access to the surrounding parking garages remain fully usable .
The science city of Darmstadt asks road users for understanding the nightly restrictions. The modernization work is used to improve mobile phone quality in the tunnel area and should be completed by Wednesday morning.
