Retail space and neighborhood management will remain available during the transition period
The retail space and neighborhood management program of the City of Darmstadt will continue even after federal funding ends in late November 2025. This ensures the continuation of key projects aimed at revitalizing the city center. The program's priorities will remain focused on maintaining the vacancy database, liaising with property owners, and building networks with startups and the pop-up scene. The goal is to develop new concepts and temporary uses for vacant spaces and to sustainably revitalize the city center. The discretionary fund will also continue with support from the private sector.
The CityLab's current lease at Wilhelminenstraße 25 expired at the end of January. With the planned relocation of the Darmstadt Shop from Luisenplatz to the town hall foyer in the former Hugendubel bookstore at the beginning of March, the CityLab will have an even more central location directly on Luisenplatz.
Until the new premises are occupied, the retail space and neighborhood management team will remain available. They can be contacted by email at stadtpunkte@darmstadt.de , by phone at +49 6151 1565935 , or in person at the Darmstadt Marketing GmbH at Elisabethenstraße 20-22.
