City Treasurer Schellenberg: "Strengthening awareness of the responsible use of our environment"
The municipal enterprise for tasks and services of the city of Darmstadt (EAD) is calling for actions related to sustainability and environmental protection from March 15th to 22nd as part of the "Clean Eberstadt" campaign of the Caritas Center Eberstadt South.
“With these offers, we want to raise awareness of the importance of treating our environment with care and give residents an opportunity to get involved in their neighborhood,” explains City Treasurer André Schellenberg.
Program of the Action Week
📅 Saturday, March 15th,
Repair Café from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Werkhof Darmstadt association (Grenzallee 10). EAD employees will be on hand to provide information about recycling, hazardous waste, and reuse. Collection appointments for electronic waste and bulky waste can also be booked on site.
📅 Monday, March 17th:
Third Recycling Day: The EAD (Eberstadt Waste Management Authority) is collecting bulky waste, furniture, and discarded electrical appliances free of charge in Eberstadt. Residents can drop off bulky waste and electronic waste at the following locations starting Sunday, March 16th, at 6:00 PM: Brunnenweg, Fritz-Dächert-Weg, Nußbaumallee, Palisadenstraße, and Kirchtanne. Bulky items can be scheduled for free collection via the service hotline (phone 06151 13-46000).
📅 Saturday, March 22nd:
Litter collection event: Meeting point at 10 a.m. at the Caritas Center Eberstadt South, Kirnberger Straße 13. Grabbers, gloves, safety vests, and garbage bags will be distributed there. The EAD (Eberstadt Waste Management Authority) will provide the materials and containers.
