First projects from the funding program "Natural Climate Protection in Municipalities" are starting
The city of Griesheim has announced that the first climate protection measures under the "Natural Climate Protection in Municipalities" funding program will begin next week. Construction work will commence on Lindenstraße – between Südring and Sterngasse – with further measures at the festival grounds and Zöllerplatz to follow at the beginning of December.
Larger planting beds and new trees
The existing flowerbeds on Lindenstrasse will be enlarged in sections. This work will result in full road closures. Residents have already been informed by the contracted company, Sokolov GmbH.
Additional planting areas are being created along the edge of the festival grounds, and a new tree is being planted there. New trees are also being planted at Zöllerplatz. Short-term traffic disruptions may occur during the work, and some parking spaces at the festival grounds will be temporarily unavailable.
