The city of Griesheim is installing modal filters between Maria-Theresia-Straße and St.-Stephans-Platz
Griesheim. Since Tuesday, October 14, 2025 , the southern ring road between Maria-Theresia-Straße and St.-Stephans-Platz closed to through traffic for cars. This measure aims to improve traffic safety and was implemented by the Griesheim municipal works department .
To implement this, so-called modal filters installed – consisting of three posts and four Freiburg cones increase safety for cyclists and pedestrians
