City of Griesheim sets up modal filters between Maria-Theresia-Straße and St.-Stephans-Platz
Griesheim. Since Tuesday, October 14, 2025 , the Südring road between Maria-Theresia-Straße and St.-Stephans-Platz been closed to cars. This measure is intended to improve traffic safety and was implemented by the Griesheim City Public Works Department .
To implement this, so-called modal filters installed – consisting of three posts and four Freiburg cones . These are intended to prevent private motorized traffic in the area while simultaneously increasing safety for cyclists and pedestrians .
