Groß-Gerau city run on June 12th with a new start and finish area – registration possible until June 5th
The popular corporate run "GG läuft" (GG Runs) will take place for the eleventh time on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 7 p.m. – for the first time with a new route. Due to increased security requirements, the city run will no longer run through the city center, but will start and finish at Dornberg Castle. This makes the historic grounds the new sporting center of the event.
The new five-kilometer route leads from the castle along field paths towards Berkach, then continues along the closed main road to Büttelborn and along the Landgraben canal to the turnaround point near the SKV Büttelborn parking lot. The return journey follows the same route back to the finish.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau praised the organizing team and emphasized: “This year was marked by many challenges. I am all the more pleased that we succeeded in finding an attractive alternative to the previous city center route. My thanks go to the organizing team and all partners. I am confident that we will once again be able to welcome 1,000 participants.”
Running, walking, participating
The company run is aimed at running enthusiasts of all fitness levels – whether running or walking, athletically ambitious or taking it easy. The focus is on the shared experience and the joy of movement. The awards ceremony, accompanied by music, begins at 8 p.m. in the castle courtyard. Prizes will be awarded to the fastest individual runners and the four best runners per team.
The physical well-being of the participants and guests is also taken care of.

- Early bird price until May 31st: 20 euros (plus VAT)
- Late registration from June 1st to 5th: 25 euros (plus VAT)
- Late registrations after June 5th are no longer possible.
The bib number collection takes place at the Groß-Gerau City Museum (Am Marktplatz 3):
- Tuesday, June 10th, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Wednesday, June 11th, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM (team distribution)

A run for a good cause
In 2025, part of the entry fee will again be donated: One euro per registration will go to the Groß-Gerau Hospice Foundation .
