Groß-Gerauer Stadtlauf on June 12th with a new start and finish area- registration by June 5th possible
The popular company run "GG runs" will go into its eleventh round on Thursday, June 12, 2025 - for the first time with a new route. Due to the increased safety requirements, the city run no longer runs through the city center, but starts and ends at Dornberg Castle. The historical area is thus becoming the new sporting center of the event.
The new five -kilometer route leads from the castle over dirt roads towards Berkach, further over the blocked country road to Büttelborn and along the land grave to the turn of the SKV Büttelborn. It goes back over the same route.
Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau praises the organization team and emphasizes: "This year was shaped by many challenges. I am all the more pleased that it was possible to find an attractive alternative to the previous city's route. My thanks go to the organization team and all partners. I am confident that we can again welcome 1,000 participants this time."
Run, walk, participate
The company run is aimed at running enthusiasts of all fitness levels - whether ongoing or walking, sporty ambitious or cozy. The focus is on the community experience and the fun of movement. The award ceremony with a musical supporting program begins at 8 p.m. in the castle courtyard. The fastest individual starters and the four best runners per team are awarded.
The physical well -being of the participants and guests is also taken care of.
Registration and start number edition
Registrations are only possible online at www.gross-gerau-lauft.de :
- Early bird price until May 31: 20 euros (plus VAT)
- Late registration from June 1 to 5: 25 euros (plus VAT)
- Late registrations after June 5 are no longer possible.
The start number edition takes place in the Groß-Gerau city museum (Am Marktplatz 3):
- Tuesday, June 10th, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, June 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (team -like edition)

A run for a good cause
In 2025, part of the starting fee will be donated again: one euro per registration goes to the Groß-Gerau hospice foundation .
