Which concept is more convincing?
Test drives with detailed advice in the Hedtke dealership possible
For our latest car test, two models from the Lynk & Co brand were available - a brand that we honestly had hardly heard of anything. No wonder, because it has only existed since October 2016. But it impressively proves the innovative strength and the pace of Chinese carmakers.
Hedtke is a dealer from the very beginning for Lynk & Co, one of the most promising sales partnerships 2025 in Germany. The Städter car dealership already has a long -term and successful expertise in the workshop service and used car sale from Lynk & Co and was now able to add the last piece of the puzzle: the sale of new cars of this innovative brand.
First impression and design

Both vehicles rely on a striking, modern design with Scandinavian influence - no wonder, after all, Lynk & Co belongs to the Geely Sweden Holdings, the European representation of Geely Holding (which includes Volvo, among others). The offices are located in Gothenburg, in the technology and innovation hotspot Lindholmen. But back to the models:
The 01, a plug-in hybrid SUV, looks beefiger and robust, while the fully electric 02 with its flowing coupé silhouette and sporty accents relies on dynamics. Both vehicles come with high -quality materials, but the 02 adds a shovel: the interior looks tidier and more modern, while 01 relies more on comfort. In this model you almost feel like in the living room - comfortable, relaxed, just at home. The 02, on the other hand, exudes a sporty atmosphere. The striking LED headlights offer animated welcoming and farewell scenes and a 3D LED light bar ensures a spacy atmosphere in the interior. All materials are high quality, sustainable and clean in both models and both models are also shared by a 15.4-inch HD display in the middle of the cockpit, which offers intuitive useability of all essential functions.

Assistance systems - curse and blessing at the same time
First of all: Both cars are really successful products that are hardly a reason for the lawsuit. But in order to get into the full pleasure of driving pleasure, all assistance systems should be switched off. Because there is hardly a second in which one is not admonished to anything: too quickly, too densely, too far left, too far to the right, too tired ... The question arises whether all of these warnings do not contribute to distraction and ultimately impair security than reinforcing (knowing that this is the implementation of an EU regulation that has been trading for all new vehicles). So we switch off all assistants for the test - to really feel the cars. Ultimately, however, everyone should decide which features they or she consider important.
Drive and driving behavior
The Lynk & Co 01 PHEV combines a 1.5-liter three-cylinder with an electric motor and offers a system output of around 261 hp. In practice, this means a lot of draft, especially in city traffic, which we were able to experience impressive on our test drive from Darmstadt via Wiesbaden to the Jagdschloss Platte. The purely electrical range of around 75 kilometers is sufficient for everyday life, but on long distances the combustion engine proves to be valuable support. The 01 buzzes every now and then, but overall it convinces with a pleasant, calm, yet agile driving style - even uphill to the hunting lodge, which is high.
The 02 EV goes a different way: its fully electric drive is around 218 hp and offers a range of around 450 kilometers (WLTP). Thanks to the low center of gravity, the 02 richer is on the street and shows itself in curves more agile than the heavier 01. Especially in city traffic, the electric crossover scores with its running and direct response. In Wiesbaden - where km / h almost everywhere - we were able to swim relaxed in traffic and enjoy the driving experience. The interaction of recuperation and brakes also works seamlessly.
Comfort and everyday suitability
In the case of space, the 01 beats the 02: higher seating position, more headroom and a spacious trunk make it a better choice for families and frequent drivers. The 02 is more compact, sportier cut - the deeper seating position could be less comfortable for some on long distances. However, both vehicles offer extensive standard equipment with the already mentioned large touchscreen, digital instruments and an innovative sharing system. An amusing detail is the "Selfie" camera in the vehicle-no joke: Funny selfies of all inmates can be absorbed and saved from the cockpit.
Charging infrastructure and consumption
This shows the big difference between the concepts. The 01 PHEV can be loaded on the socket, but requires the combustion engine for longer journeys. According to the factory, the consumption is around 1.5 l/100 km plus electricity in hybrid operation. The 02 EV is consistently electrically and dependent on a wall box or public charging infrastructure. Thanks to 100 kW speed load function, it is loaded to 80 % in about 30 minutes.
Our tests also showed positive values: the hybrid consumed around 2 liters per 100 km, while the fully electric 02 needed about 18 kWh to 100 km - however, we have extended the top speed several times. Here the 01-hybrid reaches 200 km/h, the fully electric 02 regulates at 180 km/h. In total, both vehicles with consumption costs remain well economical under 10 euros per 100 kilometers. With your own wall box, both models are even more fun.
Conclusion
The Lynk & Co 01 is the better choice for everyone who does not want to commit to a fully electric concept and need more space. It connects the best of both worlds and offers high travel comfort. The 02 EV, on the other hand, is the more modern, dynamic approach - emission -free, efficient and with an everyday range. If you have the necessary charging infrastructure, you will find a future -proof alternative here. But which model convinces more? This ultimately depends on individual needs: pragmatism or pure e-mobility? It is best to convince yourself.
