Professionals discuss inclusive education and practices in daycare centers
Weiterstadt. Under the motto "Equality and Difference: Working Inclusively – Yes! And How?", the national conference on the Situational Approach regional Situational Approach Network and the Institute for the Situational Approach at the International Academy Berlin gGmbH hosted Monika Wilhelm , Head of the Department of Society and Education for the City of Weiterstadt, moderated the conference

Christiane Schweizer, together with a class from LGS Dieburg, opened retrospective on the topic of inclusion . Wilhelm emphasized the importance of daycare centers as cornerstones of an inclusive community and as key players in urban development.
Six think tanks with experts
The focus of the conference was on six think tanks , led by experts from all over Germany:
- Inclusive thinking and action within a team – strengthening one's own profession.

After a shared lunch break, Heike Hofmann , Hessian Minister for Labor, Integration, Youth and Social Affairs, addressed the participants. She emphasized that educational professionals play a central role in inclusive education and future-oriented urban development.
Lively discussion to conclude
The conference concluded with a panel discussion featuring experts and a mother of two children with special needs . Her personal experiences enriched the discussion and provided valuable insights into the everyday realities of inclusive education.
The nationwide conference in Weiterstadt was rated as a successful example of a practical and open discussion on the topic of inclusion.
