A footpath, green space and a new drinking water pipeline are being built
A major construction project is currently underway in the Am Dornbusch . A new footpath with an accompanying green space is being built there. At the same time, a new drinking water pipeline is being installed as part of the project.
The aim of this measure is to improve traffic safety for pedestrians, increase accessibility, and strengthen the local microclimate. At the same time, it aims to secure the existing infrastructure for the long term.
Delays due to weather
However, construction has been delayed in recent weeks due to persistently unfavorable weather conditions with low temperatures. As a result, some construction work could not be carried out as planned for quality and safety reasons.
Traffic restrictions in the surrounding area
During the construction phase, there will be traffic restrictions in the vicinity of the construction site. Particularly in the area of Gutenbergstrasse and at the exit of the Loop 5 parking garage, temporary traffic jams are possible.
Traffic patterns have been adjusted and signposted accordingly. Road users are asked to allow more time for their journeys and, where possible, to use alternative routes.
Despite the improved weather conditions, the construction work will continue for some time. Those responsible ask residents and road users for their understanding regarding the disruptions.
