Memories and documents were wanted on the history of paper Müller
The Eberstädter Dotterstiftung supports a research project on the history of the former Papiermüller company in Eberstadt and calls on citizens to share their memories. The company, which once produced paper products for the region and all of Germany, shaped business life in Darmstadt for decades. Now its story is to be further processed by contemporary witness reports and archive material.
A company with history
Founded in the 19th century, paper millers paper goods such as receipts, letterheads, bags and coasters for bakeries and pastry shops for decades. The company in Pfungstädter Straße 35-37 was closed in 1980. Today the former company buildings are converted for residential and commercial purposes, but their history should not be forgotten.
Call to contemporary witnesses
Today's co-owner of the buildings, Helmut Brebeck the history of the Paper Müller company as a district historian of season 3 In order to obtain the most comprehensive image as possible, he is looking for former employees or residents who can remember working at Papiermüller or report stories from the neighborhood.
Interested parties are invited to provide their experiences, documents or photos to enrich the research work. Old letters or records that reveal something about everyday work or company culture are of great interest.
