"Haie in the Adriatic" by Susanne Schmitt
The literary initiative in the Darmstadt Association of Kulturstäuken e. V. invites you to the gallery of the Rosengarten restaurant for an author reading with Susanne Schmitt in the series of literature scene in South Hesse. Susanne Schmitt reads from her crime novel "Haie in the Adriatic", published by Cortextverlag 2024, Altheim.
A friend's desperate call for help attracts the Cuban Commissioner Hernandez to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Claudia's fiance Nikos was found dead in the wine cellar of a hotel. But was he murdered? And what options does the Commissioner have as a foreign police officer to determine professionally? Hernandez gets to work and discovers more than just a motif. He would rather be at home, right now, where he would have to take care of the needs of his family.
Susanne Schmitt (born in 1979) works as an enforcement officer in the public service. After more than a quarter of a century in this deeply formative profession, nothing human is more alien. Daily contact with crime and the interest in the literature inspired her for her first novel, which was published in 2022 under the title "Canadian Roulette". Another great passion for the author is traveling. Far from home, the first ideas are created. Visited places become locations in the novel, as in her new work "Haie in the Adriatic". Exciting plot combined with a pinch of vacation flair and exoticism characterize your letter. Susanne Schmitt lives in Aschaffenburg.
