Bookmobile on hiatus – main branch closed on April 4th
The Darmstadt city library announces that there will be some changes to operations around the Easter holidays.
The main branch in the Justus Liebig House will be closed on Saturday, April 4 , 2026. On the other days of the school holidays, both the main branch and the branch libraries in Eberstadt and Kranichstein will be open during their regular hours.
The bookmobile is taking a break
The city library's bookmobile will be out of service from Monday, March 30th, to Friday, April 10th, 2026. During this time, the bus will be serviced and cleaned.
From Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the stops will be served again according to the regular schedule. Loan periods have been adjusted accordingly, so no returns are necessary during the break.
Digital offerings remain available
Regardless of opening hours, the city library's digital services remain available around the clock.

Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
