Submission of nominations for the 2026 local elections in Darmstadt
The Darmstadt Election Office is providing information about its opening hours around the turn of the year Nominations for the 2026 local elections also be submitted during these times .
Opening hours of the electoral office
Monday, December 22, 2025 , 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, December 23, 2025 ,
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
, December 29 Tuesday, December 30, 2025 , 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, January 2, 2026 , 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Monday, January 5, 2026 , 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Deadline for submitting nominations
Nominations must be submitted to the electoral office no later than Monday, January 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. as early as possible , as sufficient time is needed for formal review. Otherwise, deficiencies may be rectified in time
Supporting signatures also be submitted early enough to allow for a complete review within the deadline.
Personal submission and appointment scheduling recommended
To ensure a smooth process, please submit your nominations personally through a trusted representative . This will allow any potential formal deficiencies to be clarified immediately and avoid additional meetings.
Furthermore, the election office urgently requests that you make an appointment in advance or contact them by telephone , as there is currently a high volume of people and otherwise longer waiting times may occur.
