Bicycles, electric cars and family program in the city center – May 18th is Electromobility Day
On the weekend of May 17th and 18th, 2025, Darmstadt's city center will once again be transformed into a central hub for all things mobility. The "Darmstadt Mobil" event will offer exhibitions, test drives, advice, and entertainment for the whole family – and will coincide with a Sunday shopping event. Large exhibition in the market square and city center areas
On Sunday, May 18th , the mobility exhibition in the market square focus on bicycles and alternative drive technologies. Darmstadt bicycle shops will present current models, which can not only be viewed but also test-ridden . In addition, car dealerships about new vehicle models, many of them with electric or hybrid drives .
Visitors can try out the seating on site and receive advice on technologies and features. The exhibition is complemented by stands on cycling, car sharing, and public transport .
Electric Mobility Day on Sunday
the 8th Day of Electromobility will take place on Sunday (May 18th) – presented by the City of Darmstadt , the Electromobility Network of Southern Hesse , and the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry . Numerous exhibitors will be showcasing vehicles, products, and services related to sustainable mobility in the marketplace.
Family-friendly program as part of the spring fair
This year, “Darmstadt Mobil” is once again accompanied by the spring fair on Friedensplatz and Karolinenplatz , which opened its doors on May 9th. Numerous food and confectionery stands .
Children can enjoy the " KinderKiste " (Children's Box) in the Carree on both days – a creative play area with activities for participation and romping around. Darmstadt's landmarks – the Lange Ludwig and the White Tower – will also be open to visitors this weekend.
