Emergency services and exceptions on December 29 and 30, 2025, and January 2, 2026
As an energy-saving measure, the municipal offices and administrative centers of the science city of Darmstadt will remain largely closed on Monday, December 29 , Tuesday, December 30, 2025 , and Friday, January 2, 2026 .
Several areas are exempt from the closure, where operations are still guaranteed or emergency services have been set up.
These positions remain accessible
• The fire department's control center and emergency response service are staffed around the clock.
• The Citizens' and Public Order Office in the Luisencenter and the vehicle registration office are open during regular business hours.
• The city police are on duty as usual.
• The Office for Social Affairs and Prevention an on-call telephone service 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on December 29 and 30, 2025, and January 2, 2026 (phone: +49 6151 13-3277 ).
• The Youth Welfare Office (Municipal Social Services and Integration Assistance departments) is on call and can be reached via the police .
• The 115 service center and the information desk in the Luisencenter are staffed on all the aforementioned days.
• The Darmstadt Job Center open as usual on December 29 and 30, 2025, and January 2, 2026. •
The registry office is open on Tuesday, December 30 , 2025.
