Bicycle seized during burglary investigation
During a crime scene investigation following a burglary, police in Darmstadt recovered a bicycle on Tuesday, January 13th, which, according to the current state of the investigation, is likely to have been stolen. The bicycle has not yet been linked to the burglary or any other known crime.
For this reason, the Darmstadt Criminal Police now publicly searching for the rightful owner of the found bicycle.
Information regarding the recovered bicycle
The bicycle is a Dynamics brand Gravity Cross Sport mountain bike. It is black with red and white accents. A distinctive feature is a sticker on the back of the seat tube that mentions Frankfurt and may provide clues as to its place of origin or user group.
Investigators do not rule out the possibility that the mountain bike was stolen some time ago and has not yet been reported stolen.
Police asks for clues
Anyone who recognizes the bicycle or can provide information about the owner is asked to contact the Darmstadt Criminal Police. Information can be provided by calling 06151 / 969-0. Claims of ownership should be supported by suitable documentation, such as a purchase receipt, if possible.
