Education and prevention within the framework of the "Break your silence" campaign at TU Darmstadt
Darmstadt. Under the title "Operation Shield," the South Hesse Police are holding an information and prevention event at the Technical University of Darmstadt Wednesday, November 20, 2025. "Break Your Silence" campaign and is aimed at professionals who work with children and young people.
From 3 pm to 7 pm, teachers, educational professionals, childcare workers and daycare providers will receive practical assistance and skills to recognize sexualized violence early and to take effective action against it .
The event will be opened by Dr. Lommel , Chancellor of TU Darmstadt, and Vice President of the Police, Fornoff . This will be followed by expert presentations and panel discussions with specialists in medicine, social work, and child protection.
Dr. Freff explains the medical signs of abuse . Ingo Droll (social worker) speaks about the trauma of sexualized violence , while Viviane Traudt and Emily Eilers (ZE Fokus PP SH) perpetrator strategies and preventative measures . Central and regional youth coordination offices are also presented.
The event is being held in cooperation with various specialist agencies from southern Hesse that are involved in child protection and prevention work.
