From September 3rd to 6th, visitors can expect a diverse supporting program alongside the wine festival, including markets, family activities, a bicycle action day and Sunday shopping.
From Thursday to Sunday, September 3rd to 6th, 2026, Darmstadt's city center will once again be transformed into a culinary paradise. Numerous wine and food stalls along Wilhelminenstraße invite visitors to taste, enjoy, and linger. The Darmstadt Wine Festival is complemented by a diverse program in the city center and a Sunday shopping event.
The shops in Darmstadt city center will open their doors on Sunday, September 6th, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Late summer market with over 80 exhibitors
The "PÄVI'S Market of Beautiful Things" celebrates its premiere on Sunday at Friedensplatz, as well as in the Centralstation and the Darmstädter Carree. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. , more than 80 labels will present handcrafted products. Food trucks, drinks, and a diverse program of events for the whole family round out the offerings.

Super Sale in the former McDonald's
Coinciding with Sunday shopping, the big Super Sale kicks off on September 6th at the former McDonald's at Ernst-Ludwig-Straße 26. From 1 p.m. to 6 p.m., the trendy Darmstadt shops Agentur Derbe, MAMACITA, P2, and RAILSLIDE will be offering heavily discounted fashion and accessories. The sale runs daily from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. until September 12th . Admission is free.

Bicycle Action Day and Children's Mobility Day
will take place on the market square this Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visitors can expect a diverse program with information booths, vendors, a bicycle flea market, bicycle coding, bicycle checks, and test rides with bicycle rickshaws from "Cycling Without Age".
For the first time, a children's mobility day will also be held concurrently . Children can playfully practice safe road behavior with a mobility quiz and an obstacle course using bicycles, toy cars, or scooters. The awards ceremony for the STADTRADELN (City Cycling) campaign will also take place.

Fun and games with the children's box
Families will also find plenty to enjoy: The KinderKiste ( will be in the city center on Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The colorful play trailer offers numerous hands-on activities such as giant building blocks, vehicles, and various games. On Saturday, the KinderKiste will be located in the Carree shopping center, and on Sunday at Ludwigsplatz. Face painting will also be offered on Sunday.

On the occasion of the Darmstadt Wine Festival, the shops in Darmstadt city centre will be open on Sunday, September 6th, from 1 pm to 6 pm for Sunday shopping.
