From childhood heroes to Ferris wheel breakfast: Colorful program around Karolinenplatz and Friedensplatz
From May 9th to 18th, the Darmstadt spring measurement 'in 2025 you to the city center again. Karolinenplatz and Friedensplatz are transformed into a lively festival area with rides, market stalls and culinary offers - an experience for the whole family.
The official opening will take place on Friday, May 9, at 6 p.m. in the beer garden on Karolinenplatz. Mayor Hanno Benz emphasizes the importance of the event for the city: "The spring measurement 'is a successful example of the revitalization of the city center. It brings new impulses for retail and mobility - and above all joy for people."
Family -friendly program and special promotions
The program offers numerous highlights:
- Breakfast in the Ferris wheel : On Sunday, May 11th, from 10 a.m., with a view of the city.
- Backstage feast : On Wednesday, May 14, at 5 p.m., with exciting insights into the showman.
- Family day : Tuesday, May 13th - all rides offer reduced prices.
- Childhood hero day : Thursday, May 15, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Disguised guests receive two journeys at the price of one. Also included: Pumuckl, Paddington and free face painting.

Second weekend with "Darmstadt Mobil"
On May 17th and 18th, the "Darmstadt Mobil" event complements the spring measurement measurement. In addition to a vehicle exhibition and the day of electromobility, the shops in the city center open on Sunday (May 18) from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
