Autobahn GmbH is renovating corrosion protection on the central structure of the A5
Darmstadt. In mid-July, there will be nighttime closures on the A5 motorway at the Darmstadt interchange in the direction of Basel. The western branch of the Autobahn GmbH des Bundes (Federal Motorway Company) is carrying out repairs to the corrosion protection of the central structure. The work is necessary to permanently protect the steel against the elements and prevent future damage to the structure.
Overview of the closures:
- Sunday, July 13, 9 p.m. to Monday, July 14, 5 a.m
- Monday, July 14, 9 p.m. to Tuesday, July 15, 5 a.m
During this time, the A5 motorway in the direction of Basel will be closed in the area of the Darmstadt interchange.
Diversion: Traffic will be routed via the Weiterstadt interchange and the U38 diversion route. This route directs vehicles via the B42 to the Büttelborn interchange and back onto the A67.
