In Darmstadt, collections take place one working day later
The municipal services department of the city of Darmstadt (EAD) is informing residents about changed collection dates around Pentecost.
Due to the public holiday on Monday, May 25, 2026, the collection of residual waste, organic waste, waste paper and recyclables bins will be postponed by one working day.
Changed garbage collection schedule
- Monday tour: Tuesday, May 26
- Tuesday tour: Wednesday, May 27
- The waste collection week ends on Saturday, May 30th
The EAD points out that on public holidays during the week, collections are generally postponed to the following day.
Have tons ready in time
The organic waste bins, private waste paper containers and recycling bins should be placed at the roadside from 6 a.m. onwards, according to the changed schedule.
Residual waste containers and 1,100-liter containers for waste paper and recyclables must be accessible on the respective collection days.
Recycling center and composting plant closed
The following facilities will remain closed on Monday, May 25, 2026:
- Recycling center and hazardous waste collection point at Sensfelderweg 33
- Composting plant at Eckhardwiesenstraße 25
