Initiative "Your Future #Real: Digital" shows opportunities for digitization
Groß-Gerau district. The Hessian Minister of Culture Armin Schwarz attended the Groß-Gerau vocational schools on July 2, 2025. The occasion was the participation of the school in the nationwide initiative "Your Future #Real: Digital" , which imparted young people digital skills for their professional future. The visit was made possible by the district's school social work, which is actively working to integrate innovative educational offers into everyday school life.
The initiative provides pupils how digital technologies will influence their future world of work. At eight interactive stations, the participating topics such as Smart Mobility, Smart Energy, Smart Health or Smart Living were able to explore - with the help of tablets, robots and practical examples.
Questions like "Why does a roofer need a drone?" or "How does digitization change medical care?" were discussed together with the so-called digi coaches. These come from MINT and educational areas and design the workshops directly in the classroom.
During the ministerial visit, the young people also had the opportunity to talk directly to Armin Schwarz. It became clear how important digital skills are for professional orientation.
The initiative "Your Future #Real: Digital" is part of a Hesse-wide tour for career orientation and brings practical knowledge directly to schools. Further information is available online at:
