Successful team of SV 1946 Groß-Gerau
Last last Sunday (February 19) the team championships of the Main-Taunus district took place in Blitzschach in Kelkheim.
The chess club of the district town, consisting of Kathrin Peschk, Wander de Gersem, Jan Rother and Erik Zacharias, took part very successfully:
The team became district class champion and also took the divided third place in the overall individual classification.
Blitzschach is a special form of chess game in which there are less than 15 minutes of retention period for the entire game.
In this team championship, a mode of 3 minutes + 2 seconds bonus each has been chosen. This is now one of the most common modes in lightning shaft tournaments when using electronic chess clocks.
