New opening hours are effective immediately
The dog park in the Braunshardt district of Weiterstadt is now open again on weekends. The city is responding to numerous requests from residents and fulfilling the wishes of many dog owners for additional usage options.
The dog park will have adjusted opening hours in the future. Compliance will be regularly monitored. The city asks all users to observe the regulations and to be considerate of one another.
Access by car is not permitted
The city administration points out that access by car is not permitted, as it is an agricultural road. Compliance with the driving ban will be monitored by the city police.
The dog park is intended as a stop along a walk. It should offer a place where dogs can run and play freely, even during the sensitive breeding and nesting season, without disturbing nature and wildlife.
Furthermore, the area is not intended for commercial use by dog trainers.
