Higher fence, more stable gate and lock - dog meadow closed during construction time
From Monday, May 19, 2025 , the dog meadow fence will be in the citizens' park . The green area office of the science city of Darmstadt reacts to numerous information and suggestions from dog owners. The area cannot be used for the duration of the work.
Improvements for more security and cleanliness
The new fence becomes higher and receives more stable goals and an access lock that is supposed to make the unwanted run out of dogs. waste container is installed on the site to improve cleanliness on the meadow.
Grünlandstenter Michael Kolmer emphasizes:
"The work goes back to direct feedback from the community. We thank everyone for their patience during the construction phase - it is worth it so that it will be good."
Development of the construction work
- From May 19: Dismantling of the old fence
- Then: ordnance probing on the premises
- At the end of May: structure of the new fence begins
- Construction time: expected three to four weeks
dog meadow remains closed during the entire construction period . Users are asked to switch to other areas.
