Chawwerusch Theatre shows tragicomic invitation to failure on August 22
Reinheim. As part of the South Hesse Cultural Summer, the renowned Chawwerusch Theater will be performing in the courtyard of the Hofgut Reinheim cultural center on Friday, August 22, 2025. The program includes the open-air production "Don Quixote – An Invitation to Failure," a wistfully humorous adaptation of the famous novel by Miguel de Cervantes , adapted by in-house author Danilo Fioriti .
The play not only tells the adventurous journey of the Knight of the Sorrowful Countenance and his faithful companion Sancho Panza – it also takes the audience behind the scenes of a theater group attempting to perform that very story. In doing so, their own failures become just as much a theme as the dreams and misguided paths of their characters. The result is an ambiguous, lively production that inspires idealism.
