Swimmers from Darmstadt shine at national competitions – young talent scores in Stuttgart, strong team performances in Berlin

Following the successful International Swimming Festival in Darmstadt, DSW 1912 e. V. was active at important competitions throughout Germany. From May 1st to 4th, the athletes competed at the German Championships in Berlin, the South German Championships in Swimming Pentathlon in Stuttgart, and the Spring Swimming Meet in Hofheim – achieving strong results and new personal best times.
German Championships in Berlin: Final appearances and strong team spirit

The DSW12 top and junior top teams traveled to Berlin with head coach Georg Schneider. In the emotionally charged atmosphere of the German Championships, the DSW swimmers secured several final placements:
Relay results:
- 5th place, 4×100 m Medley Mixed (Bauch, Müller, Plücker, Auer)
- Place, 4×100 m Medley Men
- Place, 4×100 m Medley Women
Individual results (selection):
- Alexander Bauch: 3rd place A-final 50m backstroke (25.45 sec.), 5th place A-final 50m butterfly (23.96 sec., PB)
- Hannah Plücker: 6th place A-final 50m butterfly
- Milena Auer: 2x personal best times in the 200m breaststroke and 200m individual medley
- Tom Howorka: 1st place EYOF ranking 50m freestyle (24.42 sec., qualification achieved)
South German Championships in Swimming Pentathlon: Young athletes show strength

At the swimming pentathlon in Stuttgart (May 3-4), the DSW talents from the 2013 and 2014 age groups showed themselves to be in top form:
Top rankings:
- Vivien Wiegand: 2nd place SMK Backstroke
- Lilly Schreiber & Nora Michalk: 6th place each in SMK Breaststroke
- Miia Bartash: 6th place SMK Kraul
- Amadeus Vittinghoff: 8th place SMK Backstroke

Hofheim Spring Swimming Meet: Youngest DSW groups achieve strong personal best times
12 children from groups K1 and K2 started with great success at the spring swimming event in Hofheim:
Highlights (selection):
- Tara Mertens (born 2017): 3 wins and strong personal best times in backstroke and freestyle
- Sofie Bozhinoski (born 2017): 5 top-3 finishes
- Sophia Bennani (born 2016): 3rd place 50m butterfly (14 seconds under PB)
- Further best times from Sara El Youssi, Luis Blatt and other young talents
