Six trainees begin their training in administration and social services
District of Groß-Gerau. Six young people began their dual studies at the Groß-Gerau District Municipal Job Center (KJC) . They were welcomed by KJC board member Robert Hoffmann and training coordinator Alexandra Bolz , who wished the new students a successful start to their training.
Theory and practice alternating
The students complete their studies in two different Bachelor's degree programs:
- Social Security and Social Administration (BASS) with a standard period of study of six semesters
- Public Administration (BAPA) with a standard period of study of seven semesters
By combining theoretical phases at universities and practical phases at the job center, students are optimally prepared for their future tasks.
“We are delighted to welcome the next generation of professionals to our organization,” emphasized Robert Hoffmann. “As students, you bring new impetus and fresh ideas – and at the same time learn how diverse and responsible the work at the job center is.”
Study models with a future
The BASS Fulda University of Applied Sciences for over ten years as an online course in a blended learning format . Students meet at the university only once a month to exchange ideas with lecturers and fellow students.
The BAPA is conducted in cooperation with the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences . Theoretical training takes place there in block formats, while practical experience is gained in the various departments of the job center.
Attractive conditions for students
During their practical training, students work part-time, 25 hours per week , and learn about the interplay between different departments. In addition, the KJC offers attractive compensation and covers tuition fees .
The municipal job center Groß-Gerau has offered the dual study program BASS since 2012 and the study program BAPA since 2016 .
