The Friday meeting of the Protestant church community combines information, community and an autumnal atmosphere
At the Friday meeting for senior citizens of the Evangelical Church in Stockstadt, pharmacist Kerstin Berthold from the Altrhein Pharmacy provided information about the introduction and use of electronic prescriptions . After a pleasant coffee break with homemade apple cake, Berthold explained the processes involved in digital prescriptions and used a diagram to demonstrate that older people can continue to receive reliable care even without a smartphone or computer.
Information on health care and patient records
The pharmacist also answered questions about the upcoming electronic patient record and gave practical tips on preventative healthcare during the colder months. She had prepared small gift bags containing vitamin C, cream samples, and bottles of juice .
The volunteer group participated in the afternoon: Jonas Komp distributed hand-picked apples , while Inghilde Melk created a festive atmosphere with an autumnal table decoration
In the subsequent service, Pastor Ksenija Auksutat spoke about the depiction of Jesus as a "pharmacist" in paintings of the 16th and 17th centuries – a symbolism that understands faith as a remedy.
