More information
Collection is only carried out as part of the registered garden waste collection. Green waste in paper bags is not collected during regular organic waste bin collections.
Wood fragments and root stumps with a diameter of more than ten centimeters can cause damage to collection vehicles and are therefore collected separately. This large wood, along with other compostable waste from Darmstadt households, can be dropped off at the composting facility (Eckhardwiesenstraße 25) (opening hours: Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–4 p.m., Sat 8 a.m.–12 p.m.).
