Information on waste prevention, reuse and proper disposal
On Monday, January 27, the Darmstadt Municipal Services Department (EAD) will be holding another recycling day in the Lincoln district to properly dispose of old electrical appliances and bulky waste. The EAD will also be providing information on waste prevention, reuse, and the proper disposal of various types of waste.
“By practicing a more circular economy, we consume fewer resources. The EAD's circularity days, during which old electrical appliances and bulky waste are collected on-site and disposed of properly, contribute to this,” says City Treasurer André Schellenberg.
Residents can drop off old electrical appliances and bulky waste at designated collection points in the Lincoln settlement starting Sunday, January 26, at 6 p.m. (Franklin Street, Lincoln Street, corner of Mahalia-Jackson Street, Susan-Sontag-Weg, and Noack Street). On Monday morning (the 27th), the EAD (Waste Management Authority) will begin collecting the waste from these points at 7:45 a.m. Additionally, the EAD's waste management advisory service will be available at each location for one hour
