The Wedding Tower and the Royal Palace will be symbolically darkened on March 22nd
The science city of Darmstadt is calling on citizens, businesses, institutions, and associations to participate in the international Earth Hour 2025. On Saturday, March 22nd, between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, the lights should be switched off as a symbol of climate protection.
Climate Protection Officer Michael Kolmer emphasizes the symbolic power of this action:
“Earth Hour is a global signal of solidarity. By switching off the lights for one hour, we send a collective message for our planet. It's about making climate protection visible and working together for the future of our environment.”
