Collecting wild herbs, goat trekking and a journey back in time to the museum
The Reinheim Children's and Youth Services invites children aged 9 to 13 to three exciting days of activities during the 2025 Easter holidays . From April 8th to 10th, a diverse program awaits children aged 9 to 13, including nature explorations, animal encounters, and a journey into the past.
The Easter holiday program at a glance:
- Tuesday, April 8 : Gathering wild herbs and preparing green sauce.
In the nature conservation barn , participants will learn about various wild herbs and prepare their own green sauce with boiled potatoes . - Wednesday, April 9 : Goat trekking at Frankenstein.
A goat trekking tour takes children into the forest of Darmstadt-Eberstadt . The hike with the animals offers a special nature experience. - Thursday, April 10 : Time travel to the Reinheim Museum.
At the Reinheim Museum , children can experience how people lived in bygone eras – with historical games, costumes, a blacksmith's workshop, and cooking focus is on the theme "Shoes through the ages."
Participation and registration
- Age: 9 to 13 years
- Cost:
- Goat trekking: 10 euros
- Wild Herbs & Museum Day: €2 each
- Equipment: Sturdy footwear, weatherproof clothing and provisions for a picnic
- Note: In case of heavy rain the goat trek cancelled; the participation fee will be refunded in this case.
