Michael Siebel: "An enrichment for the creative district in the west of the city"
With the construction of the visitor center for the Mathildenhöhe World Heritage Site, the Eastern slope initiative must give way. The search for a new location now seems to have found a solution: The city of Darmstadt has brought a plot of land in the Pallaswiesen and Morneweg district (PAMO) into an alternative.
The SPD faction Darmstadt expressly welcomes this proposal. Group leader Michael Siebel emphasizes the opportunities for the quarter: “We welcome the city's proposal to give the Eastern slope initiative a new place to give a new place to give. The quarter is exciting and has a huge development potential. "
Pamo district as a creative hotspot
The Pallaswiesen and Mornenwegviertel is increasingly developing into a cultural and creative location. There are already various cultural institutions and venues , including:
- The engine factory and the house for industrial culture in Kirschenallee
- The cultural depot in Mainzer Strasse
- The Weststadtcafé , an established meeting point with a special charm
On the basis of the "Round Table Culture", the mission statement "Pamo creative laboratory" developed, which is intended to promote the further cultural development of the district.
SPD hopes for the realization of the plans
The SPD sees a valuable addition to the resulting cultural quarters in the western Darmstadt Eastern Hang initiative . “It would give development a clear thrust. I hope that concerns and reservations can still be cleared, ” said Siebel.
