Closure of the Modau Bridge and access restrictions until 2027
The complete renovation of the Eberstadt district administration building will begin in early July 2025. As the City of Darmstadt announced, the construction site at the buildings at Oberstraße 7 and 11 Wednesday, July 2nd . The work – including hazardous material remediation, demolition, structural work, and roofing – is scheduled for completion second quarter of 2027
Access via Modau Bridge temporarily closed
For safety reasons, the access road west of the main building closed, as construction traffic must be strictly separated from public roads. Access via the Modau Bridge be temporarily unavailable. The city announces that this closure will be lifted as soon as possible .
City library remains accessible
The Eberstadt branch of the city library will remain accessible throughout the entire construction period – via the path east of the district administration building , i.e., to the left of the building as seen from the town hall square .
Temporary noise pollution may occur during the construction work. The city asks residents and visitors for their understanding.
