Annual General Meeting in celebration of the 150th anniversary
The Darmstadt-Eberstadt volunteer fire department looked back on an eventful year at its annual general meeting. At the same time, the meeting was marked by a special anniversary: the fire department association is celebrating its 150th anniversary .
In addition to the annual reports , elections, promotions and honors the main focus of the event.
New and confirmed fire service leadership
The operational unit elected a new fire chief. Marcus Sattler was re-elected and confirmed in his position.
Sebastian Melk was elected as the first deputy fire chief, while Pascal Daum will take over the role of second deputy fire chief.
Promotions in the operational unit
Several firefighters were promoted during the meeting:
- Andreas Heil promoted to Senior Firefighter
- Matthias Kähler, Ole Böhnke and Michael Gajowczky promoted to chief firefighters
- Pascal Daum appointed Fire Chief
- Jan Wöltjen promoted to Chief Firefighter
Awards for outstanding commitment
Awards were also given for special services to the fire service:
- Roland Kirschner received the Golden Fire Service Honor Badge on a ribbon
- Erik Bauer was awarded Bronze Disaster Relief Merit Medal.
New board of directors in the fire brigade association
The fire brigade association also elected a new board. Tim Schaaf was elected chairman. His deputy is Jan Wöltjen.

- Olga Koziol as secretary
- Sabine Laucht as press officer
- Alin Schaaf and Björn Lemke as assessors
Farewells and long-standing memberships
During the meeting, several members were also bid farewell from their previous positions. Wilhelm Schaaf, the secretary Kathi, and Diana Fritsche were recognized for their many years of service.
Members were also honored for their long-standing loyalty to the club:
- Roland Kirchner for 40 years of membership
- Erich Haas for 60 years of membership


Outlook for the anniversary year
The Eberstadt Volunteer Fire Department thanked all those honored, elected, and dedicated members for their service. Numerous events are planned for the anniversary year, marking the 150th anniversary of the fire department association.
