The barbecue hut will be made available to the Eberstadt Association of Clubs for another five years starting in 2027. The Geibel blacksmith shop will remain with the Eberstadt Citizens' Association for another 33 years.
The city is committed to the long-term promotion of volunteer work

The long-term contracts create planning security and strengthen the work of the committed local associations.
Central locations for meetings and events
The Geibel blacksmith shop continues to serve the citizens' association as a venue for cultural events, club activities, and initiatives in the district. The barbecue hut remains an important meeting place for community activities.
Representatives of the participating clubs see the extension as a clear signal of recognition for their volunteer work. At the same time, the close cooperation between the clubs in the district is emphasized.
District administrator Ludwig Achenbach also emphasizes the importance of the facilities as places for community.
Contribution to the development of vibrant urban neighborhoods
