From August 7th to 11th, Darmstadt-Eberstadt will be celebrating with a flea market, live music and a traditional parade
Darmstadt-Eberstadt. Thursday, August 7th, to Monday, August 11th, 2025, visitors can expect a diverse program with music, festival stalls, theater, and the traditional parade. The event is organized by the IG Eberstädter Vereine eV (Eberstadt Associations) , which, with the fair, organizes one of the most important neighborhood festivals in Darmstadt.
The evening begins with an operetta performance in the garden of the House of Clubs
It all kicks off on Thursday evening (August 7th) with a musical summer night in the garden of the House of Clubs (Oberstraße 16). From 7:30 pm onwards, popular melodies from opera and operetta will be played there.
Fair opening and live music
The festival will be officially opened on Friday (August 8th) at 7 pm with speeches and the tapping of the first keg of beer . Afterwards, the band "Daily Friday" entertainment on the stage of the community center starting at 8:30 pm. The vendors' stalls will be open until 1 am that night.
Saturday with flea market, puppet theater and senior citizens' afternoon
Saturday (August 9th) begins early with a flea market on Oberstraße from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In the afternoon, the traditional senior citizens' afternoon takes center stage in the Ernst-Ludwig-Saal (Schwanenstraße 42). Starting at 2:30 p.m. (doors open at 1:30 p.m.), all senior citizens are invited to a free afternoon with cake and music . Entertainment will be provided by the Darmstadt Butchers' Choir and the gospel choir His Glory Music Ministry . Free tickets are available now at the district administration office in the House of Clubs.
Also on Saturday: Puppet theater at 4 pm in the St. Josef community hall and live music with the band “K-Manic” .
Traditional parade and musical Sunday
church fair parade starts at 2 pm , proceeding from Nussbaumallee through several streets to Heidelberger Landstraße. Prior to the parade, a church service held at 10 am in the Trinity Church. The live band "Boys of 69" will play at the community center starting at 8 pm.
Morning drinks and live music to conclude the evening
The Eberstadt fair concludes on Monday (August 11th) with a local political brunch starting at 10:30 a.m., accompanied by live music from "Sascha" . In the evening, the "BigRoundCityBand" the musical finale starting at 7:45 p.m.
