From 7 to 11 August, Darmstadt-Eberstadt will celebrate with a flea market, live music and a traditional parade
Darmstadt-Eberstadt. The Eberstadt Kerb is just around the corner – and this year, visitors can look forward to a diverse program with music, festival booths, theater, and a traditional parade from Thursday, August 7, to Monday, August 11, 2025. The organizer is the IG Eberstädter Vereine eV , which organizes the Kerb, one of the most important district festivals in Darmstadt.
Start with an operetta evening in the garden of the House of Associations
It all kicks off on Thursday evening (August 7) with a musical summer night in the garden of the House of Associations (Oberstraße 16). Starting at 7:30 p.m., popular melodies from opera and operetta will resonate.
Kerbe opening and live music
On Friday (August 8), the festival will officially open at 7 p.m. with speeches and the tapping of the first keg . Afterwards, the band "Daily Friday" on the stage of the House of Associations from 8:30 p.m. The vendors' stands will be open until 1 a.m. that day.
Saturday with flea market, puppet theater and senior citizens' afternoon
Saturday (August 9th) starts early with a flea market on Oberstraße from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The afternoon will feature the traditional senior citizens' afternoon in the Ernst-Ludwig-Saal (Schwanenstraße 42). Starting at 2:30 p.m. (hall opens at 1:30 p.m.), all senior citizens are invited to a free afternoon with cake and music . Entertainment will be provided by the Fleischerchor Darmstadt and the gospel choir His Glory Music Ministry . Free tickets are available now at the district administration office in the House of Associations.
Also on Saturday: puppet theater at 4 p.m. in the St. Josef community hall and live music with the band “K-Manic” from 8:30 p.m.
Traditional parade and musical Sunday
church fair parade begins at 2 p.m. , leading from Nussbaumallee through several streets to Heidelberger Landstraße. A church fair service held beforehand at 10 a.m. in the Trinity Parish. The live band "Boys of 69" will play at the Club House starting at 8 p.m.
Morning pint and live music at the end
The Eberstadt Kerb concludes on Monday (August 11) with a local political brunch starting at 10:30 a.m., accompanied by live music from "Sascha ." In the evening, the "BigRoundCityBand" the musical finale starting at 7:45 p.m.
