Sustainable engagement with 3D printing presentation and food sharing
Under the motto "Repair instead of discard," the 38th Eberstadt Repair Café Saturday, January 31, 2026 , from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event once again promotes resource conservation, sustainability, and neighborly cooperation.
At the Repair Café, volunteer repairers fix broken everyday items on-site. Whether it's vacuum cleaners, printers, clothing, small furniture, or bicycles – expert technicians and the necessary tools are available for many repairs. The goal is to reduce waste, conserve resources, and promote a more conscious approach to consumer goods.
Technology, exchange and encounter
, 3D printing technology will again be presented this year . Those interested will gain insights into the practical application of a 3D printer and can learn about its potential uses from expert consultants.
Coffee, tea, mineral water, and homemade cakes create a pleasant atmosphere. Furthermore, the Repair Café sees itself as a meeting place for people of different generations and cultural backgrounds from Eberstadt and the surrounding area, thus contributing to strengthening local community spirit.
Cooperation of several institutions
The Repair Café is a joint initiative of the Eberstadt Senior Citizens' Network, the City of Darmstadt, Werkhof Darmstadt e. V. (with the Nala project), and the Caritas Center Eberstadt South . It takes place at the Werkhof Darmstadt e. V. premises at Grenzallee 4–6, 64297 Darmstadt . Donations to support the Repair Café are welcome.
