Music, art and living diversity in Eberstadt
Darmstadt-Eberstadt. On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Eberstadt Sinti Association invites you to a special cultural festival. Under the title "Eberstadt Sinti and Friends," the district will be transformed into a meeting place where music, art, and personal stories take center stage. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., doors open at 5 p.m., and admission is free.
A highlight of the evening is the art exhibition by Concetta Dewus, an Eberstadt artist, Sintezza, and board member of the association. Her works reflect pain, pride, the will to survive, and the beauty of a centuries-old culture.

Musical highlights will be provided by the Reinhardt Sinti Jazz Ensemble from Koblenz, which continues the legacy of Schnuckenack Reinhardt, as well as Tanja Grünewald, finalist of the TV show “Das Supertalent” (2010), together with her nephew Merzeli.
The festival will be accompanied by speeches by, among others, Mayor Hanno Benz and Holocaust survivor Christian Pfeil. This lends the event a historical and social dimension: Sinti and Roma have been part of German history for over 600 years. During the Nazi era, more than 500,000 of them were murdered – a crime against humanity that was only officially recognized decades later.
In addition to music and art, guests can look forward to food and drinks on site. The association aims to build bridges with the festival – between generations, cultures, and life stories.
