Commemoration of the fourth anniversary of the Ukraine war on February 23
February 24th marks the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. On this occasion, the Ecumenical Prayer for Peace on Monday, February 23rd, will be dedicated to remembrance.
As announced by the Working Group of Christian Churches in Darmstadt, the prayer service will begin at 6 p.m. in St. Ludwig Church on Wilhelminenplatz in Darmstadt. It will be led by Dr. Christoph Klock, long-time pastor of St. Ludwig and former head of the Catholic Pastoral Region of Darmstadt-Mitte.
Prayer for peace since the beginning of the war
Since the beginning of the war, the Ecumenical Peace Prayer has taken place every Monday at 6 p.m. During the summer months, it is held outdoors in the Chapel Square, and in winter in St. Ludwig's Church.
From Monday, March 16th, the prayer will move back outdoors to the chapel square on Mühlstraße, behind the Ludwig-Georgs-Gymnasium.
