District of Groß-Gerau organizes journey under the motto "Will democracy amplifier!"
The youth education center of the Groß-Gerau district invites young people between the ages of 15 and 22 for a four-day educational trip to Erfurt. From October 3 to October 6, 2025, young people from the Groß-Gerau district can under the motto "Become democracy amplifier!" Participate in workshops, exchange formats and interactive educational offers.
The focus of the trip is: What does politics have to do with me? How can I strengthen democracy? And why do election behavior and political attitudes differ between East and West Germany?
The journey is organized in cooperation with the municipal youth work Groß-Gerau. Among other things, a visit to the Andreasstraße memorial , which impressively conveys what it meant to work for democratic values in the GDR. In addition, the participants experience with an interactive mobile game how rights and democratic strategies can be recognized in everyday life.
Personal exchange with committed young people from Erfurt is also on the program. Games, leisure activities and the joint exploration of the city complete the trip.
Participation costs 75 euros. Individual support is possible in the event of financial difficulties. The registration deadline is June 30, 2025 .
The educational trip is part of the series of events "Become a democracy amplifier!" , which also includes a democracy workshop on June 28 and a regular table fighter on September 13th .
