Still places free - registration possible by the end of February
The youth education center of the district of Groß-Gerau and the district youth promotion offer an educational trip on the subject of "EU & You-Streetart and European Union in Brussels" from April 7-10, 2025. The educational trip is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 26 who live in the Groß-Gerau district or go to school.
In the European Culture and the European Union, the participating European culture and the European Union can experience their own horizon. There they deal with the questions what they need for a happy life and what role the EU takes up here. On a street art tour of the city, you can view works of art in urban areas and discover values of European culture.
Of course you will also visit the European Parliament in Brussels. There she learns more about the member states, goals and tasks of the European Union. You get to know a Hessian MP with his tasks and can ask your questions. Finally, you can evaluate whether the European Union is representing interests of young people and, in their eyes, is a basis for a future -proof, happy life in Europe.
In addition to the daily program, the participants have enough time to explore Brussels on their own. The participation fee of 170 euros includes travel expenses, program and accommodation with breakfast. The group is centrally housed in the Ibis Hotel. The registration deadline is February 28th. If participation is not possible due to the amount of the participation fee, interested parties can report. The educational trip is funded by Michael Gahler, member of the EPP parliamentary group in the European Parliament and MEP for Hesse.
