The Groß-Gerau district's youth education center and youth services are offering an educational trip on the topic of "EU & You - Experiencing Street Art and the European Union in Brussels" from April 7th to 10th, 2025. The trip is aimed at young people aged 18 to 26 who live, work, or attend school in the Groß-Gerau district.
In the European metropolis of Brussels, participants can experience European culture and the European Union firsthand and broaden their horizons. They will explore questions such as what they need for a happy life and the role the EU plays in this. A street art walking tour will allow them to view artworks in the urban landscape and discover the values of European culture.
Of course, they will also visit the European Parliament in Brussels. There, they will learn more about the member states, goals, and tasks of the European Union. They will meet a Member of Parliament from Hesse and learn about his responsibilities, and they will have the opportunity to ask questions. Finally, they will be able to assess whether the European Union represents the interests of young people and, in their view, provides a foundation for a sustainable and happy life in Europe.
In addition to the daily program, participants will have ample time to explore Brussels on their own. The participation fee of €170 includes travel expenses, the program, and accommodation with breakfast. The group will be staying centrally located at the Ibis Hotel. The registration deadline is February 28th. Those who are unable to participate due to the fee are welcome to contact us. This educational trip is sponsored by Michael Gahler, Member of the EPP Group in the European Parliament and MEP for Hesse. Further information and registration are available from the Youth Education Center of the Groß-Gerau district.
