An 18-year-old attacking player from SV Darmstadt 98 is to gain playing experience at Viktoria Aschaffenburg
SV Darmstadt 98 has loaned out promising young player Othmane El Idrissi to regional league side Viktoria Aschaffenburg until the end of the season. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder will play under head coach Aytac Sulu, himself a former Darmstadt captain.
“After Othmane impressed in the Hessenliga last season, it was important for us to raise the level for him. He remains an exciting player with a lot of potential and now has the chance to take the next step in a highly competitive men’s league,” explained Sporting Director Paul Fernie. “For him, it’s about developing both on and off the pitch. We are convinced that the season in Aschaffenburg will help him progress, and we will be closely monitoring his development.”
El Idrissi moved from SG Rot-Weiss Frankfurt to the youth academy of SV Darmstadt 98 in July 2021. In the summer of 2024, the Frankfurt native received his first professional contract with the Lilies and shortly afterwards made his debut in the 2. Bundesliga. This season, he has made five appearances for the U21 team in the Lotto Hessenliga, scoring two goals.
