Approximately 50 volunteers are needed for election day on March 15th
For the local elections and the election of the foreign residents' advisory council on Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Griesheim still looking for around 50 volunteer election workers. 100 volunteers have already pledged their support.
According to the electoral office, volunteer work is a key prerequisite for the proper conduct of free and fair elections at the local level. All volunteers who have already offered their assistance will receive their summons by mail in the coming days.
Requirements and tasks
Election workers must be at least 18 years old on election day. Their duties include conducting the voting process at the polling station and subsequently counting the votes. They receive a refreshment allowance of 25 to 35 euros for this voluntary service.
Register online or by email
Those interested can register as election workers directly via the city of Griesheim's website. Alternatively, registration via email with the election office is also possible.
