The German Red Cross (DRK) in Walldorf will receive €1,000. Sturmfrei Rüsselsheim and the Kleeblatt Kelsterbach will each receive €500. Oswald Tolksdorf, chairman of the German Red Cross (DRK) in Walldorf, explained that the donation will benefit, among other things, the Youth Red Cross. Furthermore, funds will be used for the upcoming move to the former fire station and for necessary investments in the vehicle fleet to ensure operational readiness. New tasks in disaster relief and crisis management are also increasing the financial requirements. In addition, operating the DRK clothing bank for people in need is no longer financially viable, which is why donations continue to play a vital role.
The association Sturmfrei Rüsselsheim plans to use its €500 donation for the next Bel-R Festival, which will take place for the fourth time from May 13th to 17th, 2026. The festival offers theater, performance art, acrobatics, workshops, as well as music and party events, and is free of charge. The €500 donation to the association Kleeblatt Kelsterbach will go towards its diverse volunteer work, which ranges from providing everyday assistance and companionship to offering support and conversations, all aimed at improving the quality of life for local residents.
