2,000 euros for a non-profit counselling center in Darmstadt
Energy and telecommunications provider ENTEGA continues its long-standing tradition of charitable giving, supporting non-profit organizations in the region at the beginning of the year. A total of €12,000 will go to the districts of Darmstadt-Dieburg, Offenbach, Groß-Gerau, Bergstraße, and Odenwald, as well as to the city of Darmstadt.
In Darmstadt, the association for marriage, relationship, and family counseling received a donation of €2,000. The organization offers donation-based counseling and is available to people regardless of age, marital status, religious affiliation, or life situation. Its goal is to support those seeking advice in developing their own solutions, gaining new perspectives, and coping appropriately with personal challenges.
The counselors have training in psychology or social pedagogy, as well as additional qualifications, for example in systemic family therapy, mediation, or marriage and family counseling. As a non-profit organization, the institution is primarily financed through donations and grants.
Thomas Schmidt, Chairman of the Board of ENTEGA, visited Darmstadt City Hall to learn more about the work of the association. "The association makes an invaluable contribution to our society. As a company committed to sustainability and social responsibility, it is important to us to support such initiatives and associations," Schmidt explained at the donation handover on February 6th.
Mayor Hanno Benz expressed his gratitude on behalf of the City of Darmstadt for the support. The donation will help ensure that the marriage, relationship, and family counseling service can continue to support people in difficult life situations.
