Runners and cyclists impressed at the SG Arheilgen competitions
DARMSTADT – Two sporting highlights were on the agenda in Darmstadt this weekend. On Friday evening, September 26, the Entega Night Run 2025 took place at the Velodrome, offering runners the opportunity to compete in 2.5, 5, or 7.5-kilometer races. Two days later, on Sunday, the traditional Frankenstein mountain time trial , organized by the triathlon department of SG Arheilgen, followed.
Results at the Entega Night Run
Eva Riedel from the SG Arheilgen Triathlon department impressed in the 2.5-kilometer race Lukas Beckmann competed twice: He finished second in the M30 age group in the 2.5-kilometer race in 10:32 minutes. In the subsequent 7.5-kilometer race, he crossed the finish line in 35:53 minutes, but missed the podium.
Excitement in the mountain time trial
The mountain time trial started as usual at the foot of Frankenstein Mountain. Cyclists set off every ten seconds on the 2.8-kilometer course, which was timed at the finish line above the mountain. Anselm Schüle in 9:45 minutes, closely followed by Bernd Eisele (9:46) and Maurizio Giuri Nadine Silvia Krisch won the women's race Marina Lefort took second place (12:18), and Dagmar Backes (13:37).
After the competition, the participants met for coffee, tea and cake to announce the results, before many went to the Ratskeller for a convivial evening.
Tradition in September
The mountain time trial takes place every year in September and is open not only to club members. External athletes are also invited. SG Arheilgen in advance on its website , as well as on Facebook and Instagram.
